Portfolio of Demos

This page is for those of you who prefer to see what we can do rather than just read about it. These demonstrations were written for the most recent versions of Netscape Navigator and Communicator or Microsoft Internet Explorer. They may run on other browsers and/or obsolete versions of these browsers, but this is not guaranteed.

Generating VRML from Javascript

Choose your mode, then click to generate VRML in the bottom frame. Note that this demo may take a few seconds to run on slower systems. You need a browser which supports VRML 1.0 and Javascript for this demo.

HTML Hexadecimal Color Tutorial

A proof-of-concept online class, featuring interactive demonstrations of the material being taught, and a self-scoring quiz which can ask each student a different set of questions. Traditional classes usually require a live instructor, or expensive simulators, to provide the same effect. In addition to showing what an online class can be, this demo teaches how to specify colors in HTML. Your browser must support Javascript to use the interactive content of this demo, although most of the class can be read by any browser which supports HTML tables.

VRML Schematics

Tired of looking at two dimensional schematics? Do you want to see what abstract engineering diagrams actually represent? This demo also works well as a fast VRML authoring tool - not (just) fast rendering, but fast translation of ideas from your head to the computer. Since this demo involves VRML schematics, your browser must support VRML 1.0 to run this demo.

Simple Sales Support

One possible front end to a database which maintains a record of sales. This demo is located on our internal server, so it may load and run slowly. Also, it requires a browser which is Java and Javascript enabled.

Contact Managment Via The Web

A more complex version of the sales support demo, this applet allows all of a company's salespeople to share knowledge about customers, even when disconnected from the corporate LAN. This demo is located on our internal server, so it may load and run slowly. Also, it requires a browser which is Java and Javascript enabled.

If you can not get these demos to work on your system, make sure that your browser is configured correctly. For example, not all browsers support VRML 1.0, and some only support it if you have installed the appropriate plug-in. If your browser can not run one of our demos even with the suggested configuration, and it is the most recent version released by your browser's vendor, please tell us.
